Volunteer Hours

Did you know attending an RWDC luncheon counts as volunteer hours?  Eat, learn, and earn.  You log at least two hours minimum when you do – all while hearing speakers on interesting topics.  Add travel and social time and claim more.  Working the polls? Volunteering for a campaign? Writing postcards for candidate? Yup. Counts. For example, assume you attended a luncheon that lasted 2 hours and your roundtrip travel took 1.5 hours. Total time is 3.5 hours. Report on your form 4 hours. Just for eating lunch. To make it easier, we recommend recording your hours more frequently. Monthly even. Then, you don’t have to try to remember what you did and when. Like voting in Chicago, record your volunteer hours early and often.

NFRW wants local clubs to track and report their volunteer hours. Not only does NFRW use this information to confirm the NFRW mission of grassroots activism and to award clubs for their efforts., it benefits RWDC because we can show we make a difference in our communities. Our efforts count. Thanks to your volunteering, RWDC received the “Diamond Excellence” Award at the NFRW national convention.

Pick up a form at a meeting or download and print one from our website. Turn in the completed form at a meeting or email a copy of it to [email protected].
